Hillside Orchard Farms has recently built an old fashion copper sorghum pan so that we can make our own syrup the way it has been made in the southern Appalachian Mountains for generations. Our cane is grown on one of our small farms and harvested in the fall. The leaves are then stripped from the cane, the cane is squeezed to extract the juice, then the juice is transferred to the copper pan and cooked into the best sorghum syrup you have ever tasted!
